Both games are cash grabes regardless if you go with ts3 or ts4. Regardless if you enjoy ts3 you will enjoy ts4 though in my opinion since ts4 is still in production i would reccomend that since there is more dlc's from EA and hotfixes every couple of months. Sims 4 is also lgbtqidabcdefghijkmlop safe, since you can make men get pregnent and women give babies.
Sims 3 still has cc getting made and mods but not as much as sims 4 and mostly everyone's merged over. However sims 4 does have missing cars, garbage men & other stuff, which is basically useless anyway, like too me cars are just for decoration in ts3 yeah you can take them places but i didn't really like them, tbh. However if you control 2 - 3 families the others will randomly age up regardless if you have controled them or not. Sims 4 beats the sims 3 by a longshot more mods and CC, worlds which imo are better then one open world, you can actually control more families in ts4 ts3 is one family that's it. As for the mechanics of the sims, I agree with you, in TS4 they are very happy, while in TS3 very true it is more natural, more realistic. There is nothing wrong with the sims 4 however sims in the sims 4 tend to be happy go lucky and everything revolves around the emotion system, sims in the sims 3 tend to feel more natural and realistic (atleast to me your opinion may vary) My opinion does not vary much from yours, as I said, many people prefer TS3 graphically, others say that TS4 is better, personally I like the graphics of both games equally.
